How I work: A transparent process

As a solo consultant, I do the work. I don't outsource the interviews to juniors or associates. I conduct every customer conversation myself to ensure no nuance is lost. You get my full expertise at every stage

I don't make you wait months for a "big reveal" either. I share insights and little "aha moments" as I find them, so we are learning together from day one.

1. Discovery

We kick things off with a 60-minute strategy workshop. We look at your business goals, what you think is true about your customers right now, and the exact problem we are trying to solve.

By the end of the hour, we will know exactly where we are going.

2. Insights

This is where I go out and find the answers. I combine deep listening interviews with your customers, conversations with your internal team, internal data analysis, and market research.

I’m looking for the patterns, the specific words your buyers use, and the real motivations behind their decisions.

3. Story Development

I take all that research and turn it into a clear story. As a marketer, I know you don't need a stuffy academic report that sits in a drawer. You need a plan you can actually use.

I identify the best way to position your product and build a messaging framework that connects directly with what your customers care about.

4. Handover Workshop

Messaging shouldn't die in a PDF. We finish with a final workshop to review the new story and, more importantly, discuss how to use it.

I walk you through the messaging so you and your team feel ready to update your website, rewrite your sales decks, and launch your campaigns immediately.

How do I know this process actually works?

Because it’s built on evidence, not creative guesswork. I’ve used this framework to help B2B teams launch products, fix stalled pipelines, and align leadership. You can see the specific results—from higher conversion rates to shorter sales cycles—in my customer stories.

How do you manage the analysis?

I don’t believe in the "black box" approach where a consultant disappears for 8 weeks and returns with a PDF. I manage all our data in Dovetail, a dedicated research repository.

You get access to the raw data—the clips, the tags, and the emerging patterns—as we go. You can watch the "aha moments" yourself, rather than just reading about them in a slide deck.

What makes you different from other researchers?

I bring the rigour of a PhD researcher combined with the commercial focus of a marketer.

My background in Anthropology and English means I don't just record answers; I analyse the language, hesitation, and emotion behind them.

I find the nuance that generic transcripts miss, but I filter it all through a hard commercial lens to ensure it drives revenue, not just interest.

What outputs will I actually get?

You won't get a theoretical report that sits in a drawer. You get execution assets. Depending on your package, this includes a messaging framework, webpage copy, and sales materials.

How do we communicate during the project?

I respect your time, so I keep meetings to a minimum.

Aside from our scheduled strategy workshops (kick-off and handover), I work asynchronously. I send you a weekly status update via email, detailing exactly what was completed, what’s up next, and any blockers I need your help with.

You get total visibility on progress without the calendar clutter. If we need to talk through a complex finding, we can jump on a quick call, but I don't force weekly syncs just for the sake of it.
