AmpliStory is a research and strategy consultancy based in Galway, Ireland. This policy explains what personal information I collect, how I use it, and your rights.

 

What information do I collect?

I may collect:

  • Your name, email address, telephone number, job title, and organisation.
  • Information you provide when contacting me, enquiring about services, downloading a resource, or subscribing to my newsletter.
  • Information needed to manage client projects, contracts, and invoices.
  • Information provided through research interviews, surveys, workshops, or other research activities.
  • Website, form, and email interaction information collected through HubSpot.

 

How do I use your information?

I may use it to:

  • Respond to enquiries.
  • Provide research, strategy, and consultancy services.
  • Conduct and analyse research.
  • Manage projects, contracts, payments, and client relationships.
  • Send newsletters and resources you have subscribed to.
  • Understand how my website and emails are used.
  • Meet legal and financial record-keeping requirements.

I process personal information where you have given consent, where it is needed to provide services or take steps towards a contract, where I have a legitimate business reason to use it, or where I am legally required to do so.

People taking part in research projects will normally receive separate information explaining how their data will be used for that specific project.

 

Who do I share information with?

I use a small number of trusted service providers to run AmpliStory and deliver client work. These include:

  • HubSpot for my website, forms, CRM, and email marketing.
  • Google Workspace for email, documents, file storage, and collaboration.
  • Dovetail for research storage, transcription, organisation, and analysis.
  • Video-conferencing, survey, transcription, and AI-assisted tools where needed to deliver my work.

I aim to minimise or remove identifying information before using AI-assisted tools where practical. These tools support my analysis and writing but do not make significant decisions about individuals.

I do not sell personal information.

Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, recognised data-protection safeguards are used.

 

How long do I keep it?

I keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed.

  • Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Identifiable research information is normally kept for up to two years after a project ends, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Client, contractual, financial, and tax records may be kept for up to six years.
  • Anonymised research findings may be retained for longer.
